Bees Love Crops!

When out foraging for food a Honeybee can travel up to 3 miles.  For such a tiny insect, that's a 6 mile round trip collecting Pollen and/or Nectar for the hive.

When you add to this the fact that a single Honeybee will produce up to a single teaspoon of honey throughout it's lifetime it's starts to give us a picture of the huge amount of effort put in by each Honeybee.  At Apis Gold we think there's a better way to help our bees while at the same time helping our local farming community!

How we Work

Each year, either through collecting swarms via our Bee Swarm Removal service or  via our own colony management we are able to continually increase our stocks of bees and this is how we aim to work alongside our local farmers.

Our Bees Work for you

To ensure that they have adequate space between them (and to ensure that we have enough space for hive management tasks) each colony of bees requires only 4 square meters and there can be many different reasons why an arable field will have this small space (maybe in an overshadows corner, alongside an irrigation ditch, or perhaps even an oddly shaped corner etc) available to put a colony of bees there.  Rather than letting our bees fly freely to find their own food source, we can help them find your crops by placing the hives on your land which provides 2 benefits:

1) With our bees located on your land they have access to local food instead of having to fly long distances to forage

2) Our bees will get to work pollinating your crops, instead of flying to a remote crop somewhere else thereby increasing your crop yield.
